SPIDER & YUE (November '08) see them going home
Brother and sister Spider and Yue were born here at our clinic over the Fourth of July weekend by emergency C-section. They had spent their entire lives at the clinic, playing and being cute but never knowing anything about the world outside. We were thrilled when one of our clients decided she wanted to adopt them. We wish Spider and Yue many happy hours of exploring their new world and learning about things like mirrors and beds and television. We congratulate their new Mom on her new additions and know they will bring her many happy hours of love and warmth. |

KANINA (November '08)
Kanina is one lucky cat, having been rescued from death not once, but twice. After giving birth, Kanina's babies were taken from her by a pet store. She languished in the shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized before we rescued her. She arrived malnourished and weak from infestations of parasites and fleas, and an x-ray revealed a bullet lodged in our gal's shoulder! Our sweet girl found her home via our listings on Petfinders.com. Her new Mom is happy to have a new companion, and Kanina is happy to have a new life. |

LIGHTNING, THUNDER & ANN (October '08) see them going home
During their short stay with us, sisters Thunder and Lightning proved to be friendly, loving cats despite being abandoned by their owners. Lightning (pictured, top) in particular loved to talk to anyone who would listen. Both Thunder and Lightning were adopted with one of our original cat rescuees, Ann :) Ann received an emergency c-section the weekend of July the 4th. All three cats were adopted by a good friend of the clinic who reports all three are settling in quite nicely into their new home. Ann's adorable kittens are still up for adoption and looking for homes of their own. |

PAKKU, KANA & CASPER (October '08) see them one last time
Pakku and Kana had a long distance fan when Dr. Pruett's mother saw the siblings on our website. A few months later when she came to visit them at the clinic, they took to her like you can't imagine. Another little fella caught her eye too: the sweet and loveable Casper. The trio were quite good friends, having spent a lot of time together in the kitten room. When it was time to go they settled in together for the long trip back to Oklahoma. Dr. Pruett's father was a bit surprised by the four-legged additions. But from what we hear, he's warmed up quickly to our favorite furry friends! |

J.T. (Sept '08) see J.T. going home
From his first day at the clinic, J.T. made an impression on us, as well as the other rescue kitties. A good friend of CCNG saw J.T. on our website and practically beat down our door to meet him. It took them all of 30 seconds to fall in love with J.T. and decide he would make a great companion for one of their own kittens. Never one to sit still for very long, J.T. waited patiently with his new parents as they sat out a thunderstorm at the clinic. It was confirmation to all that J.T. had found his home at last! |

ZUKO & ELLIE (Sept '08) see Zuko & Ellie going home
Zuko and Ellie were rescued just a day before they were scheduled to be euthanized. They arrived malnourished and weak from infection and parasites, but their trusting personalities, wide-eyed charm and constant purring won us over. It took weeks of special fostering (including play sessions with their foster big brother, Jello) before these kittens finally turned the corner. A local family saw the siblings on our website and quickly realized they would be perfect for the family. We couldn't agree more.

EMILY & CHARLOTTE (August '08)
These two sisters warmed our hearts during their stay at CCNG. They arrived at the clinic in June after being liberated from cramped and filthy living conditions. Charlotte was fiercely protective of the kittens and Emily, and would often position herself between them if one of the staff or volunteers tried got too close for her comfort. Though Emily's kittens did not survive, one of our devoted volunteers grew to love the gals. We jumped for joy when she decided to adopt both of them. Now they have a great home together. We couldn't think of a happier ending. |

KATARA (August '08) see Katara going home
Katara arrived in the second wave of kitten rescues this summer. She was the oldest of the kittens and preferred to keep to herself while the others played and tumbled over each other. Katara's weakness was canned food and she inhaled bowl after bowl until her belly could hold no more. Fortunately, she overcame her habit, and as she did she became very playful, affectionate and friendly. A friend of the clinic fell in love with Katara and now she has a new loving home! |

FROGGER & DIGGER (July '08) see Frogger & Digger going home
Frogger and Digger were a part of a group of cats and kittens that had been seized by Gwinnett County and fostered by CCNG. Though not related to any of the other cats, Frogger and Digger proved to be the perfect older brother and sister to the younger kittens. They cuddled their step-mothers (Emily and Charlotte) and taught their step-siblings important kitten lessons like being cute, toppling food bowls and climbing cages. A cat lover spotted them playing at the clinic, and despite looking for just a single, older cat, he promptly fell in love and adopted both of them. |

DANI (June '08)
Dani was found at a local shelter, sitting in her litterbox in the corner of the cage with her back towards the door. We brought her to the clinic, treated her and gave her some old fashioned TLC. She was moved to Good Mews in Marietta where her personality bloomed. Recently we learned Dani had been adopted with another kitten from Good Mews and has now moved into her new home! A happy ending for a cat that didn't seem to have a bright future just a few short months ago. |
|
JELLO, aka "COBBY" (May '08)
Jello was part of a litter being fostered by a friend of the clinic. He had been rejected by his mother, wasn't eating and barely registered on the scale. Extensive force feeding and extreme TLC was required just to get him to put on weight. Jello suffers from a liver shunt which will require costly surgery when he is healthy enough for the procedure. Jello is now a fixture at the clinic having been adopted by Dr. Pruett's kids, and is a big brother to our current set of foster kitties. |

RASCAL (May '08)
Both Rascal and Kitty (below) were found in an abandoned building near the airport by a security guard. We're not really sure of Rascal's background but he proved to be a little bundle of joy during his brief stay. Though not the best of friends, Rascal and Kitty ended up being adopted into the same family where they live happily (and separately). |
|
KITTY (May '08)
Kitty and Rascal aren't related but were found together. Ironically, Kitty didn't care too much for her little shadow and preferred to purr away on her own. A test showed she was FIV positive, and though we feared it could be a while before she found a home, a friend of the clinic adopted both her and Rascal. We say hooray to their owners who know that an FIV cat deserves a home and their disease is nothing to fear! |
|
SABRINA (May '08)
Sabrina had a happy home for 10 years until she was diagnosed with diabetes and cancer and her owners were not willing to care for her. Her stoic nature and stern expression hid a friendly side. Fortunately, a friend of the clinic adopted Sabrina so she could have the proper treatments and live the remainder of her life in the comfort of a real home. Hooray Sabrina! |
|
VALENTINO (April '08)
A family found Valentino after he had crawled into their garage and refused to leave. The wayward cat had a terrible skin condition so good samaritans donated money for his treatment. Valentino arrived at The Cat Clinic of North Georgia on Valentines Day and quickly won everyone over with his wide-eye charm and friendly personality. A friend of the clinic fell in love with him and now has a wonderful companion for life. |

ASTRO-POP (Feb. '08)
A animal control officer alerted us to Astro-pop who was one hour away from being euthanized. How could anyone resist such a handsome boy? Certainly not us. After a brief stint here at the clinic, Astro-pop was transferred to Good Mews. It wasn't too long before Astro-pop was adopted into a loving, permanent home. It just goes to show that you can never give up on a cat, even one that had only an hour left! |
